The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) is an information security standard for organizations that handle branded credit cards from major card schemes. It is designed to increase controls around cardholder data to reduce credit card fraud.
1. App Store and Google Play Transactions
All financial transactions related to the Tripmetic application—including initial downloads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases—are handled exclusively by Apple Inc. (for iOS users) and Google LLC (for Android users).
- When you make a purchase, you are completing the transaction through the native Apple App Store or Google Play Store billing systems.
- Both Apple and Google are certified as PCI-DSS Level 1 Service Providers, which is the highest level of payment security compliance in the industry.
- Tripmetic developers never see, process, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or billing address.
2. Website Operations
Our promotional website (tripmetic.app) operates strictly as an informational portal. We do not host an e-commerce storefront, and there are no payment gateways or checkout forms on our website.
- We will never ask you to input credit card information via our website or via email.
- If you ever encounter a web page claiming to be Tripmetic asking for your credit card details, please exit immediately and report it to us via our official contact page.
3. Commitment to General Data Security
While payment data is secured by Apple and Google, we remain committed to protecting the integrity of our own application infrastructure. We utilize secure hosting environments, enforce SSL/TLS encryption for all server communications (such as fetching live currency exchange rates), and design our app using local-storage architecture to ensure your personal travel data remains exclusively on your device.
