Troubleshooting & FAQ

Why are the currency exchange rates not updating?

Tripmetic operates with an "offline-first" approach. If you are on an airplane or lack cellular data, the app will use the last known cached exchange rates. To update the rates, ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data, open the Currency tab, and pull down to refresh or check the "Last Updated" timestamp.

My itinerary or budget data disappeared. What happened?

Your data is saved securely in your device's local storage, not on our cloud servers. If you delete the app, clear the app's cache/storage in your phone's settings, or switch to a brand new phone without migrating your device data, your Tripmetic data will be erased. Always keep a backup of critical flight confirmation numbers.

How do I delete my data or account?

Tripmetic does not require user accounts! There is no server data to delete. To permanently erase your data, simply uninstall the application from your device. You can read more on our Data Deletion page.

Can I sync my budget between my iPad and my iPhone?

Currently, Tripmetic is designed for maximum privacy via local storage on a single device. Cross-device syncing requires cloud accounts, which we have intentionally avoided to protect your financial privacy. Your data stays on the device you enter it on.
